Photosynthetic Dubby Post Pop
Through compositions where surprise devours the norm, Strasbourg songwriter Théo Cloux is writing a new page in hypnotic music that is as much confectionery as acrobatics.
Having cut his teeth under the name T/O, with a debut album entitled "Ominous Signs" that placed him in the top 10 of the year in 2018, according to Carole Boinet of Les Inrocks, he is now working under the name Tioklu, releasing his second album "The Electric Soup" in February 2024.
This over-vitamined record takes his bewitching, harlequin pop even further, drawing unashamedly on cartoons, dub and sequenced music.
Vertiginous, unctuous and above all invigorating!
Baroque Pop
KCIDY's music is erudite and obvious pop, orchestrated and crystalline, which carries lyrics that are sometimes darker or deeper with a luminous lightness. An ambivalent light, of winter sun or moon at its perigee. A sonic paradox: seemingly transparent and obvious songs that conceal a secret or a reverse side like a palace of mirrors in a fairground.
Experimental Rap/Pop
Nygel Panasco is an experimental project, where we question the question of the character who intervenes in urban space, or in any case who expresses himself on public land. Nygel Panasco is for the moment the main protagonist and the story of this guy is that he travels. He is a Griot, who goes from place to place, from place to place, who sings songs, delivers messages, expresses his points of view, his annoyances and his demands.
Nygel believes that one can still be a magician, and that the world can be joy and courage.
Dub Disco
The collaboration between L'Éclair and DJ Laxxiste A gave birth to the side-project called Ethyos 440. And we might as well tell you that they managed to bewitch their audience with this incredible mix of genres having given birth to several musical releases and a memorable stage reputation. The Geneva supergroup attempts the feat again with a new EP entitled Aquila Rift.
It will only take four new titles for Ethyos 440 to show us all the colors. It is by brilliantly mixing the electronic universe of DJ Laxxiste A and the celestial and cinematic melodies of L’Éclair that the Geneva group intends to impress us with irresistible bangers such as “Escape From 440” which opens the ball.
Ambient Dance
Passionate about music, Mara Zuli's mixes are always very varied and are defined more by an atmosphere than by a musical genre. Sometimes energetically danceable, sometimes calm and mental, his sets are always a surprise. For her set at the Quai des Brumes library, she turned to her musical childhood. A tribute to youth in the countryside of Thuringia (Germany) with (post) rock music and their classical music learning in Bach's hometown.
